m of C2H5OH = Molality x Molar mass = 1.6 x 46 = 73.6 g  

Total m of solution = 73.6 + 1000 = 1073.6 grams  

1073.6 grams of solution will include 7.6 grams of ethanol.

m of C2H5OH in 500 grams of solution = ( 73.6 / 1073.6 ) x 500

= 34.28 grams
