Water and Ethanol are the examples of liquid in liquid solution. They are both liquids in room temperature. When the two are mixed together we get a homogeneous mixture which is a solution of alcohol in Water.

Steel is an example of solid in solid solutions. It is an iron solvent with a carbon solute. The carbon atoms do not replace iron atoms, but fit in the spaces between them, this is often called an interstitial alloy.

The example of gas in gas solution is Air ( oxygen and nitrogen ). It is an nitrogen solvent and oxygen solute.
