3x+2y=11. --->1

2x+3y=4. ---->2

---------------

multiple equation 1 with 2

multiple equation 2 with 3

we get

6x+4y=22

6x+9y= 12

(-). (-). (-)

----------------

-5x= -10

X= 2

substitute X= 2 in equation

6(2)+4y=22

12+4y=22

4y= 22-12

4y= 10

y= 10/4

y= 5/2

therefore

the Value of X= 2

the value of Y=5/2

Answer:

3x+2y=11 ------>(i)

2x+3y=4 ------->(ii)

By elimination method

multiplying 2 in eq (i)

2(3x+2y=11)

6x+4y=22 ------>(iii)

multiplying 3 in eq (ii)

3(2x+3y=4)

6x+9y=12 -------->(iv)

subtracting eq (iii) from (iv)

= –5y=10

y= 10/–5

y= –2

putting the value of y in eq (i)

3x+2y=11

3x+2(–2)=11

3x–4=11

3x=11+4

3x=15

x=15/3

x=5

Therefore x= 5 and y= –2
