so, angle P + angle Q = 180° ( consecutive interior angles on the same side of transversal are supplementary )

now,

1/2 angle P + 1/2 angle Q=180/2

1/2 angle P + 1/2 angle Q=90°

in ∆ POQ,

1/2 angle P + 1/2 angle Q + angle POQ= 180° (Angle Sum Property of a triangle)

90°+ angle POQ =180°

angle POQ=90°
