5/12+7/16
L.C.M=48
Therefore , 5×4/48 and 7×3/48
=20/48+21/48
=41/48

Solution of \frac{5}{12}+\frac{7}{16} = \frac{41}{48}.

  • We have to find the solution of the fraction \frac{5}{12}+ \frac{7}{16}.
  • In order to perform addition of numerators , we need to make the denominators equal.
  • Making the denominators equal ,

\frac{5}{12}+ \frac{7}{16}

(LCM of 12 and 16 is 48)

= (\frac{5}{12}).(\frac{4}{4})+ (\frac{7}{16}).(\frac{3}{3})  (Making the denominators equal)

= \frac{20}{48}+ \frac{21}{48}  (Denominators are equal so we can add the numerators )

= \frac{20 + 21}{48}

= \frac{41}{48}
