Solution of urea is 60% by weight. Find the value of both urea and water in the solution.​

Solution: -

Here mass of Solvent can be given as:

Mass if Solvent = Mass of Solution - Mass of Urea

= 100 - 60

= 40

Mass of Urea

=(Mass of urea ÷ Mass of Solvent) × (1000 × Mass of Solvent)

= (60 ÷ 40) × (1000 ÷ 40)

= ( 1.5) × ( 25)

m = 37.5 molal
