Answer :

Now, \: \: {2}^{x} + {2}^{x + 1} = 24 \\ \\ or, \: \: {2}^{x} + (2 \times {2}^{x} ) = 24 \\ \\ or, \: \: 3 \times {2}^{x} = 24 \\ \\ or, \: \: {2}^{x} = 8 \\ \\ or, \: \: {2}^{x} = {2}^{3}

So, comparing the powers, we get x = 3

Therefore, the required solution be x = 3

 {2}^{x}  +  {2}^{x + 1}  = 24 \\  \\  {2}^{x}  + ( {2}^{x}   \times 2) = 24 \\  \\  {2}^{x} (1 + 2) = 24 \\  \\  {2}^{x} (3) = 24 \\  \\  {2}^{x}  =  \frac{24}{3}  \\  \\  {2}^{x}  = 8 \\  \\  {2}^{x}   =  {2}^{3}   \\ \\ x = 3

I hope this will help you
