4×1+1=5

5×2+2=12

6×3+3=21

11×4+8=52

so ans. is 52

s7388: Yes. Undoubtedly there may be 96. But here i followed a certain series of multiplication by 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 then performed addition of numbers with their erstwhile numbers.
s7388: this series may consist a number of solutions so it is hard to say which one is correct or incorrect.

4 \times 1 + 1 = 5 \\ 2 \times 5 + 2 = 12 \\ 6 \times 3 + 3 = 21 \\ 11 \times 8 + 8 = 96
