Solution to Find the Average Speed of a Car
A car run at a speed of 45 km/hr for 3 hours. Then it runs at a speed of 55 km/hr for 6 hours. What is the average speed?

Distance traveled in 3 hours at 45kmph = 45*3 = 135km

Distance traveled in 6 hours at 55kmph = 55*6 = 330km

Therefore, the total distance traveled in 9 hours = 135km + 330km = 465km.

Hence, average speed of the care is 465/9 = 51 6/9km or 51.66666km.
