Solutions are always liquid .?
No,Solutions are not always liquid because solution is a mixture of two homogenous substances.It may be liquid ,solid or gaseous.
Example: Solution of alcohol in water is a liquid. Air is a solution of different gas. Alloy is a solution which is in the form of solid.

BREAKING THE CONVICTION THAT SOLUTIONS ARE ALWAYS LIQUID:
Solutions are not always liquid 
WHY IS IT SO?
We have learnt that solutions may be homogeneous or heterogeneous mixtures
in these type of mixture there might be  solution consisting of solid and a gas mixture 
 SOLID IN A GAS EXAMPLE:palladium absorbing hydrogen is also termed as occlusion. Its  a solid solution 
SOLID IN A SOLID EXAMPLE:An alloy like brass is a solid in solid
MY COMMENT ON:
"Solutions are always liquid" SIMPLY NOT THEY AREN'T
CONCLUSION:
By above examples we can clearly state that the statement is wrong
