Given, equation

  • 5x+7y=50------(2)

let

  • 5x=50-7y
  • X=50-7y/5----(1)

putting the value of X in equation 1

 =  > 5x =  \frac{50 - 7y}{5}  \\  \\  =  > 5 \times ( \frac{50 - 7y}{5} ) =  \frac{50 - 7y}{5}  \\  \\  =  > 250 - 35y = 50 - 7y \\  \\  =  >  - 7y + 35y = 250 - 50 \\  \\  =  > 28y = 200 \\  \\  =  > y =  \frac{50}{7}

Again putting the value of of y in equation 2

 =  > 5x + 7y = 50 \\  \\  =  > 5x  + 7 \times  \frac{50}{7}  = 50 \\  \\  =  > 5x + 50 = 50 \\  \\  =  > 5x = 50 - 50 \\  \\  =  > x = 0

Verification

5x + 7y = 50 \\  \\ 5 \times 0 + 7 \times  \frac{50}{7}  = 50 \\  \\ 0 + 50 = 50 \\  \\ 50 = 50

Hence, proved
