Motion is the change in position of an object with respect to its surroundings in a given interval of time.
Basically there are three types of motion.
1. Linear: If a body moves in a straight line, so the motion of the body is called Linear Motion. Ex. A tier moving on a straight road.
2. Circular: If a body moves around a fixed point, so the motion of the body is called Circular Motion. Ex. The arm of a running clock.
3. Vibratory: If a body moves to and fro about a fixed point, so the motion of the body is called vibratory Motion. Ex. A pendulum wall clock.
