Solutions of ferous sulphate, zinc sulphate, copper sulphate and aluminium sulphate were separately taken in four test tubes and some iron nails were placed in each of the solutions. After few minutes, it would be observed that the colour of : (a) Solutions of zinc sulphate, copper sulphate and aluminium sulphate changed and that of ferous sulphate did not change. (b) Solutions of zinc sulphate and aluminium sulphate only changed. (c) Copper sulphate solution only changed (d) All the four solutions changed

CuSO4... Colour... Copper Sulphate solution is only changed because according to reactivity series iron is more reactive than copper....
That is why it displaced copper from the solution and form iron sulphate....

This is an example of displacement reaction...

Hope it helps you...

Option C is correct , because as per reactivity series copper is low reative than ferrous (iron) so the solution is changed to ferrous sulphate according to the displacement reaction. But when we take ferrous sulphate, zinc sulphate and aluminium sulphate solutions these are having higher reactive metals than ferrous so there will be no reaction taking place therefore no reaction in these solutions
Hence the option C is the Right answer
