Hello ...

here is your answer .....

x² +√2x - 4 = 0

x² +√2x=4

Add (√2/2)² to both sides

x² +√2x + (√2/2)² = 4 + (√2/2)²

(x+√2/2)² = 4 + 2/4

(x+√2/2)²= 4 + 1/2

(x+√2/2)²= 9/2

Solve this equation

And the final solution are ...

x= 2√2
x=√2

The given equation is :

→x² + √2 x - 4 =0

By splitting the middle term,we can write the equation as

→ x² + 2 √2 x - √2 x - 4=0

→ x² + 2 √2 x - √2 x - 2√2×√2 =0

→ x ( x + 2 √2 ) - √2 (x + 2√2) = 0

→ (x - √2) (x + 2 √2) = 0

→ x - √2 =0 ∧ x + 2√2=0

x= √2 ∧ x = - 2 √2 , are solution of the equation.
