What are the disadvantages of thermal power?

1.Thermal energy production is mainly based on fossil fuels and nuclear power which have exhausting resources.

2.Thermal energy is a low grade energy, and while converting it to useful mechanical energy, most of it is lost through conduction, convection or radiation.

3.Thermal energy production causes sever damage to the surrounding environment.

4.Thermal energy loses its importance due to presence of many other alternative sources.

Although there are many disadvantages of thermal energy but many developed and developing countries use it as their major source of power due to non popularity of alternate sources of energy.
