solve 0.16 (5x-2)=0.4x+7

Given, 0.16 (5x-2) = 0.4x+7

On multiplying both sides with 100, we get

16(5x - 2) = 40x + 700

80x - 32 = 40x + 700

80x - 40x = 700 + 32

40x = 732

x = 732/40

= 183/10

= 18.3.
