0 = 20 + 4 (m - 6)

Multiply the term inside the bracket by 4

∴ 0 = 20 + 4m - 24

Calculate

∴ 0 = - 4 + 4m

Move the variable to left

∴ -4m = -4

Divide both the sides by 4

∴ m = 1 ✔✔

∴ The value of m is 1

Let's check the solution :-

0 = 20 + 4 (m - 6)

∴ 0 = 20 + 4m - 24

By putting the value of m

∴ 0 = 20 + 4 × 1 - 24

∴ 0 = 20 + 4 - 24

∴ 0 = 24 - 24

∴ 0 = 0

∴ LHS = RHS✔

Step-by-step explanation:

Distribute

20(−6)=0

{\color{#c92786}{20(m-6)}}=020(m−6)=0

20−120=0

{\color{#c92786}{20m-120}}=020m−120=0

Add

120

120120

 to both sides of the equation

Simplify

Divide both sides of the equation by the same term
