Solution:-

 \sf{x =  \dfrac{15}{8}}

Step-by-step explanation:-

Question:-

1. 5 ( 1-x ) = 3x - 10

Answer:-

:  \implies \: 5(1 - x) = 3x - 10

:  \implies \: 5 - 5x = 3x - 10

:  \implies \:  - 5x - 3x =  - 10 - 5

:  \implies \:  - 8x =  - 15

:  \implies \:  8x =  15

Removing minus from both the sides

 \implies \: x =  \dfrac{15}{8}

Required Answer:-

The required number is x = 15/8.
