squaring both sides.....
( tanΦ + cotΦ)² = 4
tan²Φ + cot²Φ + 2 tanΦcotΦ = 4
tan²Φ + cot²Φ + 2 tanΦ*1/tanΦ=4
tan²Φ + cot²Φ + 2 = 4
tan²Φ+ cot²Φ = 2
iii) taking LHS
1-sin¤/1+sin¤
rationalise......
(1-sin¤) (1-sin¤)/(1+sin¤ )(1-sin¤)
(1-sin¤)² / 1-sin²¤
1+sin²¤-2sin¤/cos²¤
separating denominator
1/cos²¤ + sin²¤/cos²¤ - 2 sin¤/cos²¤
sec²¤ + tan²¤ - 2 tan¤sec¤
which is ,
(sec¤-tan¤)² [using..(a+b)² = a²+b²+2ab]
