to solve for x. - 1 < 3 - 2x ≤ 7 and x ∈ R

-1 < 3 - 2x 3 - 2x ≤ 7

2x < 4 -2x ≤ 7 - 3

x < 2 -2x ≤ 4

x ≥ -2

-2 ≤ x < 2

as I can not draw the number line here, just draw a number line, mark -2, -1 , 0 , 1 , 2 on the line,

as x < 2 , at +2 on the line, draw an open circle and as x ≥ -2, at -2 on the line, draw a closed circle, join both ends and fill the rectangle.
