 Given \: \frac{1}{x} - \frac{1}{x+5} = \frac{1}{360}

 \implies \frac{x+5-x}{x(x+5)} = \frac{1}{360}

 \implies \frac{5}{x^{2}+5x} = \frac{1}{360}

\implies 5\times 360 = x^{2} + 5x

\implies x^{2} + 5x = 1800

\implies  x^{2} + 5x - 1800=0

/* Splitting the middle term, we get */

\implies  x^{2} + 45x-40x - 45 \times 40 = 0

 \implies x(x+45) - 40(x+45) =0

 \implies (x+45)(x-40) = 0

 \implies x+45 = 0 \:Or \: x-40= 0

 \implies x = - 45  \: Or \:x = 40

Therefore.,

 \green { -45 \:or \: 40 \: are \: roots \:of }\\\green { given \: equation }
