By splitting middleterm:-
multiply first term and last term[(x^2*(-44)]=(-44x^2) then split the the product(-44x^2) in such a way that it give middle term by adding or subtracting it (11x-4x)
=>x^2+11x-4x-44=0
Now,taking common we get:
=>x(x+11)-4(x+11)=0
=>(x-4)(x+11)=0
=>x=4 and (-11)
