multiplying both sides of equation (i) by 100, we get

100p/q= 51.6666....(ii)

multiplying both sides of equation (ii), by 10 , we get

1000p/q= 516.666...(iii)

subtracting equation (ii) from equation (iii), we get

900p/q= 465

p/q= 465/900

p/q= 31/60
