x + \frac{1}{x} = \frac{x {}^{2} + 1}{x}
x ^{2} = \sqrt{7 +4 \sqrt{3} } ^{2} = 7 + 4 \sqrt{3}
x {}^{2} + 1 = 8 + 4 \sqrt{3} = 4{{2 + \sqrt{3}}
 {x}^{2} + 1 \div x = \frac{8 + 4 \sqrt{3} }{ \sqrt{7 + 4 \sqrt{3} } }
now rationalise it
