Solution :

 \frac{15}{4}  - 7x = 9 \\  \\   \frac{15}{4}  - 9 = 7x \\  \\  \frac{15 - 36}{4}  = 7x \\  \\  \frac{21}{4}  = 7x \\  \\ 21 = 28x \\ x =  \frac{21}{28}  \\  \\ x =  \frac{3}{4}

 \frac{15}{4}  - 7x = 9

 \frac{15}{4}  - 9 = 7x

 \frac{15}{4}  -  \frac{9 \times 4}{1 \times 4}  = 7 x

 \frac{15}{4}  -  \frac{36}{4}  = 7x

 \frac{ - 21}{4}  = 7x

 - 21 = 7x \times 4

 - 21 = 28x

28x - 21

 x =   \frac{ - 21}{28}

x =  \frac{ - 3}{4}

 \frac{15}{4}  - 7( \frac{ - 3}{4}) = 9

 \frac{15}{4}  -  (\frac{ - 21}{4})  = 9

 \frac{15}{4}  +  \frac{21}{4}  = 9

 \frac{36}{4}  = 9

9 = 9

Therefore , LHS = RHS
