\huge \mathfrak \green{Solution}

:\implies \sf 15y-2(4y-1) = 2(3y-1)

:\implies \sf 15y-8y+2 = 6y-2

:\implies \sf 7y+2 = 6y-2

:\implies \sf y = -4

\sf\huge\bold{\underline{\underline{{Solution}}}}

\sf \longmapsto15y - 2(4y - 1) = 2(3y - 1)

Concept : When - value multiply with -value it gets cancelled and resultant we obtain be a positive value.

[minus minus =plus (but sign of -)]

[plus minus =minus ]

\sf \longmapsto15y - 8y + 2 = 6y - 2

\sf \longmapsto7y + 2 = 6y - 2

Now,taking like terms together

\sf \longmapsto7y - 6y =  - 2 - 2

\sf \boxed{\bold{{y =  - 4}}}

Check

\sf \longmapsto15( - 4) - 2(4( - 4) - 1) = 2(3( - 4) - 1)

\sf \longmapsto - 60 - 2( - 16 - 1) = 2( - 12 - 1)

\sf \longmapsto - 60 - 2( - 17) = 2( - 13)

\sf \longmapsto - 60 + 34 =  - 26

\sf \longmapsto - 26 =  - 26
