Hi there !!

 => - 15y - 23 = 18

These type of questions are very easy, we have to solve variable as well as constant in L.H.S and R.H.S separately.

 =&gt; - 15y = 18 + 23 \\  \\</p><p></p><p>=&gt; - 15y = 41</p><p></p><p> =&gt; y = \frac{ - 41}{15}

Put y= -41/15 the answer will satisfy the equation.

= - 15y - 23

= -15(-41/15)-23 [15 and 15 cancel]

= 41-23

=18

= R.H.S

Q. solve -15y -23=18. who is explaining the answer well. I will mark you as brain list answer. you can photo it and tell also.

Solution -

Given :- -15y -23 = 18

To find :- The value of Y

Now,

 -15y - 23 = 18

=&gt; -15y = 18 + 23 (transferring -23 to RHS , we get +23)

 =&gt; -15y = 41

  =&gt; y = \frac{41}{-15}

Let us check it out ,

Substituting y = \frac{-41}{15}

So,

 -15 × \frac{-41}{15} -23 = 18

 =&gt;  (-1 × -41) -23 = 18

 =&gt; 41 - 23 = 18

 =&gt; 18 = 18

Hence ,

LHS = RHS.

Hope it helps you :)

Thanks :)
