solve -: 16(3x - 5) - 10(4x - 8) = 40 and verify ??​

16(3x-5) - 10(4x-8) = 40

48x-80-40x+80 = 40

8x = 40

X = 40/8

X = 5

Verification -

Equation -

16(3x - 5) - 10(4x - 8) = 40

Putting X = 5

16 (3×5-5) -10(4×5-8) = 40

16(15-5) -10(20-8) = 40

16×10-10×12 = 40

160 - 120 = 40

40 = 40
