(2+root3)(2+root3)/(2-root3)(2+root3)=a+broot3

(2+root3)²/(2)²-(root3)²=a+broot3

4+3+4root3/2-3 =a+broot3

7+4root3/-1=a+broot3

-(7+4root3)=a+b root3

-7-4root3 =a+b root3

therefore, a=-7 and b=-4
