{\tt{\red{\underline{\large{Given}}}}}

  • Equations
  • 2x+3y= 1 and 2x-4y=24
  • Y=Mx+3

{\sf{\green{\underline{\large{To\:find}}}}}

  • Value of m

{\sf{\pink{\underline{\Large{Explanation}}}}}

Solving the Equations by Elimination method

2x+3y= 1

and

2x-4y=24

2x+3y= 1

________

-6y=-23

y=23/6

¶utting the value of y in equation (1)

2x+3y=1

=>2x+23/6=1

=>2x=1 - (23)6)

=>2x=(6-23)/6

=>2x=-17/6

=>X=-17/12

Now solving for m23/6

Y=Mx+3

23/6=-17m/12 +3

=>5/6 × 12 =17m

=>10=17m

=>m=10/17
