23x − 29y = 98 ....(1)
29x − 23y = 110 ...(2)
Adding (1) and (2), we get
52x − 52y = 208
52 (x-y) =208
⇒x − y = 4 .....(3)
Subtracting (2) from (1), we get
−6x − 6y = −12
⇒x + y = 2 ....(4)
adding (3) and (4), we get
2x = 6
⇒x = 3
Now, from (4), we get
y = −1
Hence, x=3 and y= -1..
