Take LCM,
LCM of 24 and 7 is 168.

=24/7×24/24 – 7/24×7/7

=576/168 – 49/168

=(576-49)/168

=527/168

=> Find the LCD:

There are 2 methods;

1) Multiples -

Multiples of 7 = 7, 14, 21 ... 161, 168 ....
Multiples of 24 = 24, 48, 72 ... 144, 168

LCD = 168

2) Prime factorization -

Factors of 7 = 7
Factors of 24 = 2 × 2 × 2 × 3

LCD = 2 × 2 × 2 × 3 × 7 = 168

=> Make denominators same as LCD:

24 × 24 / 7 × 24 - 7 × 7 / 24 × 7

576 / 168 - 49 / 168

( 576 - 49 ) / 168

527 / 168

=> Mixed form:

3 ( 23 / 168 )
