So we need to find  [(\piR^{2} - \pir^{2}) / \pir^{2}] * 100 %  ---------- I

Wiz, Difference in area / initial area,

Now, we need to find a values of r and R.

Since, circumference of circle wiz 2\pia changes from 4\pi to 8\pi,

So, 2\pir = 4\pi => r = 2 cm

Now, 2\piR = 8\pi => R = 4 cm

Now, area of the circles are,

\pi(4) and \pi(16) cm^{2} respectively.

Now, we substitute this in I,

So, our increase is ,

(12/4)100 %

3 % increase in the area.
