QUESTION :-

Solve :- (x + \frac{1}{x})^3

SOLUTION :-

Putting x = x and 1/x = y in the Formula, (x + y)^3 = x^3 + y^3 + 3xy\:(x - y), we get

(x + \frac{1}{x} )^3 = (x + y)^3\\\\\Rightarrow x^3 + (\frac{1}{x})^3 + 3* x * \frac{1}{x}[x - \frac{1}{x}]\\\\\Rightarrow x^3 + \frac{1}{x^3} + \frac{3x}{x} [x - \frac{1}{x}]\\\\\Rightarrow x^3 + \frac{1}{x^3} + \frac{3x^2}{x} + \frac{3x}{x^2}\\\\Simplifying\:this,\:we\:get \Rightarrow\\\\\Rightarrow \bold {(x + \frac{1}{x} )^3 = x + \frac{1}{x^3}  + \frac{3}{x} + 3x}
