Given;2x² + 2x − 4 = 0

To Find; the thefactorizationof2x² + 2x − 4 = 0

Solution;

2x²+x−4 = 0

It is given that we have to solve 2x² +x-4 = 0 by factorization that is using splitting the middle term is a method of factorization in which we split the middle term into two parts

2x² + 2x − 4 = 0

2x² + 4x − 2x − 4 = 0

2x(x + 2) − 2(x+2)=0

Hence the two factors are(x + 2)(2x − 2)
