2x+2=x-y

2x-x+2=-y

x+2=-y

x+y=-2.......(1)by2

3x+2y=0........(2)by1

Multiplying eqn

2x+2y=-2

3x+2y=0

Subtracting eqn...

2x+2y=-2

-3x-2y=0

-x+0=-2

-x=-2

x=2

Putting the value of x in eqn (1)

x+y=-2

2+y=-2

y=-2-2

y=-4

Hence, x =2, and y=-4.
