3x+4y=5.............(2)

(3x-2x)-(4y-2y)=(5-0)

x+2y=5

X=5-2y...........(3)

Put the value of x in equation (1)

2(5-2y)+2y=0

10-4y+2y=0

-2y = -10

Y =10/5

Y =2

Now put the value of y in equation (3)

x=5-2(2)

x=1
