Y=5 X=-2 is the solution
method of elimination
let's take first equation as 2X+3Y=11
second equation
is 2X -4Y=-24
LETS SUBSTRACT EQUATION ONE FROM 2
IT GIVES
7Y=35
Y=5
THEN X CAN BE CALCULATED BY PUTTING VALUE OF Y IN ANY EQUATIONS WHICH GIVES X=-2

Hello,

Here is your answer...

We have,

2x + 3y = 11............(1)
2x - 4y = -24...........(2)

Now,
We subtract eq.2 from eq.1

We get ,

7y = 35

y = 5

Now ,put this value of y in eq. 1 We get,

2x + 3 × 5 = 11
2x + 15 = 11
2x = -4
 x = -2
