solve 2x+3y=11 and 2x-4y=-24 and hence find the value 0f 'm' for which y=mx+3.

2x+3y = 11. ........(1)
2x-4y = - 24 ........(2)
from equation (1) & (2) we get
- y = -13
y = 13

put the value of y in equation (1)
2x + 3y = 11
2x + 3*13 = 11
2x + 39 = 11
2x = 11-39
2x = - 28
x = - 14

now we get the value of m

y = mx + 3
13 = -14*m +3
13 = -14m +3
13 - 3 = -14m
10 = - 14m
m = -10/14
m = - 5/7
