\underline{\bigstar{\sf\ Given:-}}

y = mx + 3

\underline{\bigstar{\sf\ To\:Find:-}}

Value of m

\underline{\bigstar{\sf\ Solution:-}}

2x + 3y = 11

⇒ 2x = 11 - 3y --------> 1

2x - 4y = - 24 ---------> 2

Putting eq. 1 in eq. 2

11 - 3y - 4y = - 24

11 - 7y = - 24

- 7y = - 24 - 11

- 7y = - 35

y =  \frac{ - 35}{ - 7}

y = 5

Putting this value in eq. 1

2x = 11 - 3(5)

2x = 11 - 15

2x = - 4

x =  \frac{ - 4}{2}

x = - 2

⇒ y = mx + 3

5 = m (-2) + 3

5 = -2m + 3

5 -3 = -2m

2 = -2m

m =  \frac{ - 2}{2}  \\ m =  - 1
