Answer:

2x+3y=11 -------------1

2x-4y= -24----------------2

subtract 2 from 1

then we will get,

7y=35

therefore; y=35/7= 5

ie, x=2x+3.5=11

      =2x+15=11

      =2x=11-15=  -4

      x= -4/2= -2
