Solve 2x+3y=11and 2x-4y=-24and hence find the value of 'm' for which y=mx+3.

Answer:

2x+3y=11 _ _ _ _ equation 1

2x-4y=-24 _ _ _ equation 2

On subtracting equation 2 from equation 1,we get:-

7y=35

y=5

From equation 1,

2x+3y=11

2x+3*5=11

2x+15=11

2x=11-15

2x=-4

x=-4/2

x=-2

ATQ

y=mx+3

5=-2m+3

5-3=-2m

2=-2m

m=2/-2

m=-1
