X - Y = 1 ....................(2)

X - Y = 1 ....................(2)X3

or, 2X + 3Y = 12

3X - 3Y = 3

by Addition, 5X = 15

or, X = 15÷5

or, X = 3

Now, Put the Value of X in equation (2)

so, X - Y = 1 ..............(2)

or, 3 - Y = 1

or, - Y = 1 - 3

or, -Y = - 2

So, Y = 2

Ans. X = 3

Y = 2.
