LHS, (2x+3y) ^2-(2x-3y) ^2

=(4x^+12xy+9y^) 2-(4x^-12xy+9y^) 2

=8x^+24xy+18y^-8x^+24xy-18y^

=24xy+24xy

=48xy

Hence the RHS in the question is wrong.
