2x + 3y = 4 -  -  - (1) \\ 3x - y =  - 5 -  -  - (2)

multiply eq (2) by 3

9x - 3y =  - 15

by eliminating both the equations

we get,

11x =  - 11 \\

{\bold {\large {\boxed {\red {\mathcal {X=-1}}}}}}

now for the value of y

put the value of x in equation (2)

3 (-1)-y=-5

{\bold {\large {\boxed {\red{\mathcal {Y=2}}}}}}
