Answer:

(2x+3y=8)×1,-----(1)

(3x+y=5)×3.........(2)

now substruct (2) from (1)

2x-9x + 3y-3y=8-15

or, -7x =-7

or, x=1

now put the value of x in (1) u will get 'y'

Answer:

use elimination method to solve this

firstly,make x or y variables common

let 2x+3y=8 be the first equation and 3x+y=5 be the 2nd equation

make x variables same by multiplying first equation with 3 and second equation with 2

after multiply the equations will be 6x+9y=24 and 6x+2y=10

these two equations be 3rd and 4th equation.

on subtracting 6x will get cancelled and the equation will be 7y=14

on cancellation y=2

substitute y=2 in 1st equation

then 2x+3(2)=8

2x+6=8

2x=2 and x=1

hence the values are y=2 and x=1
