x-y=15

x=15+y

put in 2 equ.

15+y-4y=7

-3y=7-15

-3y= -8

y = 8/3

.x=15+8/3

x=45+8

x-4y=7

x=7+4y substitute in eqn 1

2x+3y=8

2(7+4y)=8

14+8y=8

14-8=-8y

-6=-8y

y=14

substitute y=14 in x-4y=7

x-4y=7

x-4(14)=7

x-56=7

x=7+56

x=63
