Answer:

x= 3.5 and y= 3.75

Step-by-step explanation:

2x-4y+8=0

it can also be written as

x=2y-4

then substitute this value into the other equation

-6x+4y+6=0

-6(2y-4)+4y+6=0

-8y+30=0

8y= -30

y=3.75

then substitute this value again to the first equation we got

x=2y-4

x=2(3.75)-4

x=3.4

Hii There!!!

Let given equations be :

2x - 4y = -8 -------1)

-6x + 4y = -6 --------2)

On solving equation 1) and 2) by elimination method we have ;

2x - 4y = -8
-6x + 4y = -6
__________

- 4x = -14

=> x = 14 / 4 -----[ negative sign will be cancelled ]

=> \boxed{x=7/2}

Now , put the value of 'x' in eq.1) we have :-

2x - 4y = -8

2 × 7/2 - 4y = -8

=> 7 - 4y = -8

=> - 4y = -8 -7

=> - 4y = - 15

=> 4y = 15 -----[ negative sign will be cancelled ]

=> \boxed{y=15/4}
