Step-by-step explanation:

2x + y = 10

=> 4x + 2y = 20 .............(1)

3x - 2y = 1 ...............(2)

Adding (2) + (1),

=> 3x - 2y + 4x + 2y = 20 + 1

=> 7x = 21

=> x = 3

Putting x = 3,

2(3) + y = 10

=> y = 4

Therefore x = 3 and y = 4.
