Answer:

2x-y=4.........(1)

2x+y=8.........(2)

by taking equation (1)

  • x=4+y/2

putting the value of 'x' in equation (2)

  • 2x + y = 8
  • 2(4+y/2) + y = 8
  • 8+ 2y /2 + y = 8
  • 8 + 2y + 2y/2 = 8
  • 8 + 4y = 16
  • 4y = 8
  • y = 2

putting the value of 'y' in equation (3)

  • x = 4 + 2/2
  • x = 4 + 1
  • x = 5

_______________________________

2x-y=4-----(1)

2x=4+y

x=(4+y)/2

y+2x=8-----(2)

putting the value of x in (2):

y+2((4+y)/2)=8

y+4+y=8

2y+4=8

2y=4

y=2

x=(4+2)/2

x=6/2=3

so, x=3, and y=2
